Sensory and Consumer Testing of Snack Foods

Aim of the study

To determine the liking and preferences of consumers for a variety of snack foods.

 

Why we are researching this

The Australian food industry relies heavily on consumer testing and feedback in order to create, develop and reformulate new or existing consumer snack foods. By joining the CASS Sensory Database you will be helping these companies create exciting new and innovative products for the Australian consumer market.

 

Eligibility criteria

  • 18 years or older
  • No known food allergies or intolerances
  • No association with a marketing company or media outlets
  • Buy, like and consume various snack foods

 

Key points for participants

  • Complete a 5 minute online survey regarding your basic demographic information.
  • Each testing session will be either be conducted at the Deakin University CASS laboratory, Burwood, or samples will be sent to you to complete the study at home.
  • Each testing session will run for approximately one hour.
  • Depending on the project, you may be tasting between 3-6 snack food products per session and be asked a variety of questions or to complete various tasks as part of the session.
